I think about things like this when discussing accommodation of religious moderates in the efforts to keep creationism out of public schools. No, it’s not the same thing, but I think it’s a matter of degree. If a person has certain beliefs that are not based on reason, they imply that reason is not necessary. They honestly think that “God’s Law” trumps all other laws. It keeps getting scarier.

Much of the right wing practices xenophobia, racism and hate spewing. They also aspire to control others’ thoughts and actions.

Then there are the libertarians who want anarchy so they can have it all for ‘me, me, me’.

It SCARES me, but it does not surprise me.
