I've got a bridge. In Brooklyn. Maybe you're interested....

I'm trying to be polite here. It doesn't come easy, and you're not helping.

Perhaps a well placed screw-driver. Maybe heat it up over the stove first.

Coffee. The universal solvent. That, or I know someone who solved two problems at once by leaving the case open where a tomcat was known to make his rounds.

Dr. Laden's is excellent

I've got a bridge. In Brooklyn. Maybe you're interested....

But my PC spends about 15 seconds doing useless self-checks and device configuration in BIOS. Even though neither Windows nor Linux use BIOS themselves.

My MIPS board with 166MHz CPU is able to boot Linux kernel and start BusyBox in just 3 seconds. CoreBoot can boot Linux in about the same time.

slashtop or splashtop?

I could have sworn that the first time I read this, our host had managed to misspell it at least one other way, too.

This may be "one of those words" -- there are a few that I consistently have trouble with, no matter how hard I try. I generally have pretty good spelling, and Dr. Laden's is excellent -- but we all have our gremlins.
