It reminds me of late 19th c Russia where people were still being tried as witches.

Um, in my country people are still being burned and stoned to death for witchcraft even today.

Oh man I just read that. You guys live in a strange and scary country. I’m glad you don’t have a nutbar for a President anymore–but to think that this can happen in this day and age. It reminds me of late 19th c Russia where people were still being tried as witches. And I thought that was a pretty strange place. So this is the context for the atheist-religion thing that goes on so often in the science blogs? I can’t imagine this happening in Canada. The uproar it would cause.

When I first read this over by, I sent the link to the barack obama mailing list as they still sending stuff out even tho they have a new address whitehouse.gov
Part of why this teacher’s in trouble is that he corrected myths about obama being a muslin.
You’d think the administration would realise that when they speak of faith-based initiatives, we see this.
