					<description><![CDATA[We were up late last night with tornado sirens going off in Birmingham, AL. I was watching circulation on Doppler radar moving ESE in our direction, getting ready to move into the small interior bathroom or under-the-stairs closet. I accidentally fell asleep for a few minutes, only to be awakened again by sirens as a tornado had formed just SSE of us. The circulation was over us and just past, and the tornado formed in the part that had passed. (Phew!) We don&#039;t have a basement, of course.]]></description>

Not sure how much damage was done but it appears that a fair amount in the southern part of the county.One bonus however is it got me out of driving to Charlotte for my nephew&#039;s christening. At a Catholic Church. That took...2 freaking hours.Whew.]]></description>
