Archbishop Venables is the head of a small Anglican Church in South America. The schismatics are now under his jurisdiction. An analogy would be if a group of citizens of California decided they didn’t want to be Californians again and declared they were now part of Maine.There are several parishes and one diocese in the US who have done that, all because of teh gay. (I never knew I was that powerful. What a fucking rush!) The issue has developed into a financial one because the parishes and the diocese that have broken away took the property with them. Being a hierarchical church, like the RCs, the property belongs to the Episcopal Church. It will take years of litigation to settle this. Following the analogy above, the Californians left California but took the schools, utilities, police, etc. with them.
