Benjamen’s kidnapping of the young nee Miss Robinson from the church, during her marriage ceremony, locking the angry mob inside with a broom.

Maybe because I saw the film about 40 (yikes) years ago, I seem to recall Benjamin swinging not a broom, but a cross at those who tried to approach him, and putting that cross through the door handles.

This was really a cool movie. I was nine when it came out, so I didn’t get to see it until much later when it came out on HBO.

Now I have another book to add to the list.

I had briefly considered homeschooling my now 23 y.o. daughter and went to find materials. The St. Paul School District’s only resource was at a Lutheran Church Homeschool library. I decided that she needed to get her ass back into a public school.
