					<description><![CDATA[I WAS beginning to get upset with the number of blogs that were flagged by my Google alert concerning (erroneous) Giardia &quot;facts&quot; written by people, typically as a result of infection.  Thank you Greg for citing scientific research as a way to foster discussion.  Though our lab at UC Davis doesn&#039;t (yet) work on Giardia mitosis or ...ahem meiosis, I&#039;ve seen SEM images of the little guys doing SOME type of sexy dance from the Cande lab at UC Berkeley.  Too bad their study of meiosis centers around maize; Giardia is way more fun.]]></description>
