I think that one of the most exciting and interesting blog carnivals going these days is Oekologie, which is currently in its fifth edition, at The Voltage Gate.
Oekologie is a traveling blog carnival reviewing the best ecology and environmental science posts of the month from all across the blogosphere.
You may be thinking “What the heck is a blog carnival. What the heck is this guy talking about…”
That’s what I thought the first time I saw this term bandied about. A blog carnival is a nomadic sequence of periodic blog posts summarizing and linking to sets of other blog posts on a particular topic. See this post for more information on blog carnivals.
Anyway, back to Oekologie. I mention it because I’m hosting the next one and I’d like to encourage people to submit their entries for it. Email them to greg AT gregladen DOT com.
And while we are on the subject of blog carnivals, here is a list of several current carnivals that you may want to check out:
Carnivalesque 27 (Ancient history and stuff)
Carnival of Education # 120
Carnival of Space #4
The Creation Museum. This is an exception to blog carnivalia, in that it is neither nomadic or periodic. It is a one-shot deal (at least so far) cataloging posts about the new creation museum just opened in Kentucky, hosted at Pharyngula.
