   In response to the linux tech tip you linked to here from:

   Why use gFTP at all? It’s redundant. If you want a GUI solution in Gnome, go to places and hit “Connect to Server” GUI FTP, SSH, and the like without extra software cluttering up the system.

   Tristanm: Good point. I usually use the command line or the method you suggest. I thing gFTP works great, but I’m not sure if offers more than these other methods.
