I Think
I Think are the words scribbled by Charles Darwin in one of his notebooks, followed by what is probably the world’s first phylogenetic tree, hand drawn by Darwin to illustrate his thinking … his Darwinian thinking … about, well Darwinian evolution. The image on this hat and the mug below are copied from a facsimile of Darwin’s notebook … originally for use as the header of this blog, as at one time I thought that would be a good name for it. I wear this hat all the time and almost never does anyone take note of it or say anything about it. Well, a famous Darwin Scholar once spotted it at a conference and liked it quite a bit, but most people have no clue what it is or what it means.
And what better symbol to wear on a hat; A symbol that is drenched in meaning … significant, meaningful meaning … yet that is an enigma to most people until they finally learn what it is.
For me, the image on a coffee mug is especially for obvious reasons. By the way, this is an especially large coffee mug, somewhat above regulation size. You can access the Cafe Press story (Get Real Now) to check out both the hat and the mug by clicking on either image.

Agitate Against Anthropogenic Climate Change
Then there’s this global warming thing. I’d like to start a movement, or at least an effort, whereby candidates for state and federal office who are on record for stating (recently) that Global Warming is Not Real (or some other denialist position) are identified and explicitly anti-fundraised and anti-voted for that reason. Yes, I think Climate Change has become a litmus test issue, and frankly, if YOU understand and realize the importance of climate change and there is a candidate to is an AGW denialist, chances are you and that candidate disagree on many other issues as well. SO, the point is to Vote like climate change IS REAL. Because it is. Click on the logo to visit my “Spread Shirt” shop and buy a whole mess of these tee-shirts and give them to your friends and family and make them wear them.
The idea is to galvanize people to volunteer for, support, and help fund (reasonable) candidates that are running against the denialists in state house (and yes, climate change does matter at the state level) and at the federal level in the US.

Take Back the Words
I hate it when Republican Pundits use the word “Democrat” incorrectly, as in “The Democrat Party” instead of the “Democratic Party.” They did some focus group thing, I imagine, that told them to say this in order to discredit Democrats (whoa are members of the Democratic Party).
I don’t think “Democrat Party” ever sounds right, but I do very much like the sound of “Obama Care.” I want Obama Care, I want more of it and I want it for everybody. This baby-suit sort of drives home the point. Put it on your baby especially right after the baby has a minor injury or something to really drive hope the point, say in the grocery store or some other public place.
Tax The Rich
And finally, yeah, tax the rich. Kinda obvious.
Please click on the images above to go to each of the two “on line stores” that I’ve set up. There are more items there than I ‘ve got pictures of here. Browse around and buy lots of items. Baby needs a new pair of shoes.
