Cowards, Racists, Presidents

Just a few things I find annoying this fine morning:

CIA determines that Washington Post Journalist Khashoggi’s murder and dismembering was ordered by Trump and Kushner’s BFF Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. Trump’s response is to throw his full support behind the the Crown Prince and claim that the CIA’s did not conclude what they concluded. Not even that they are wrong, but that they did not conclude what they concluded.

Response to Trump on the matter of Khashoggi, by Michelle Wolf:

This McDonald’s manager, after seeing a big scary white guy threaten a gaggle of Somali American teenagers with a gun, tried to send the kids into the waiting maw of said gun out in the parking lot.

Trump had, it turns out, actually ordered the prosecution of both James Comey and Hillary Clinton.

Trump has never visited American troops in combat theaters. All presidents have done this since a long time ago. Several excuses have been proffered, but now, we know the truth, from the Washington Post:

Trump has spoken privately about his fears over risks to his own life, according to a former senior White House official, who has discussed the issue with the president and spoke on the condition of anonymity to speak candidly about Trump’s concerns.

“He’s never been interested in going,” the official said of Trump visiting troops in a combat zone, citing conversations with the president. “He’s afraid of those situations. He’s afraid people want to kill him.”

  1. Happy holiday eve everyone. Orange Cheato is not acting very brave about comediennes, rain drops, or soldiers. And a man with a gun seems to have thought he could lip off to a teenage girl and get away with it because he had a gun. The international order of the patriarchy is looking more and more frail and feeble every day. Good.

  2. Clearly Trump is a coward who hides behind lies. He says today 11-21-18 that he won’t go against Saudi Arabia because of financial reasons. I think that’s true but I think his financial reasons are personal, very personal. He clearly put a dollar value on Kashoggis life. The value of a human life was much lower than Trump’s personal financial gain.

    1. Honestly, I don’t think Trump, senile, evil, old narcissist that he is gives a toss about Khashoggi’s murder. I suspect if anything he’s jealous that the Saudi’s can that to their pesky journalists and he can’t do the same to say Jim Acosta or even Megan Kelly. If he talks about the case to his Saudi friend at all I suspect he’ll be asking for tips on how he can do it and getaway with it too. And because its hard to tell these days, no that isn’t sarcasm, that’s serious because that’s the kind of scum Trump really is. The president of the United Sates of America people.

    2. StevoR,

If Trump wants to get rid of someone, he doesn’t need advice from MBS. And anyway things are done differently in the U.S.

Trump, crook and bully, got rolling
      in New York
      in the notorious 70’s,
      was in real estate,
      was in casinos,
      was mentored by Roy Cohn,
      hung out with Mafia,
surrounds himself with alt-right death heads.

Apparently this doesn’t raise any red flags for the clueless MAGA loons, or put off his apologists in government.

Dig into it. In this particular area, don’t think that he can’t get away with whatever he wants with a little help from his friends.

“I could stand in the middle of 5th Avenue and shoot somebody and I wouldn’t lose voters.” — Donald Trump

Donald Trump, Republican’s big FU to America and the world.

    3. @ oa : Yup. Good points. Still. The mafia and Saudis share a lot in common really and reckon Trump envies the Saudis a bit here too esp when it comes to murdering questioning journalists so blatantly. Something I know the mafia also does.

  3. The refusal to condemn Saudi Arabia’s leaders is disgusting in itself, but made worse by the fact that his numbers for the money involved and number of jobs at risk are bogus. His supporters will believe him, of course, but the data shows he’s lying once again. This is just another of his planned attacks on government agencies, attacks designed to reinforce among supporters that there is such a thing as a “deep state” fighting against him.

You do have to wonder, though, why he still has supporters in the military. His insulting and blatantly ignorant comments about the bin Laden mission should disgust people in the military. Remember, it was President Bush who called off the search for him, saying at one point he was “irrelevant”, so saying it was all a ploy to support Obama is (as everything else he says) a lie.

And, finally, don’t think for a second he’s responsible for creating all the racists — folks like rickA and a big chunk of Trump supporters — they chose their own routes, and have been simply lurking in the background waiting for signs of support from the highest levels. They have it with Trump.

    1. The refusal to condemn Saudi Arabia’s leaders is disgusting in itself…

Indeed it is, as is UK’s willingness to sell arms to the murdering regime, that is not counting all those killed and maimed by Saudi deployed munitions.

    2. Indeed it is, as is UK’s willingness to sell arms to the murdering regime,

No disagreement there. It isn’t clear why anyone thinks there is a fundamental difference between the actions of Iraq (which all the leaders condemn) and Saudi Arabia: actions carried out by both are horrible, citizens of each are treated horribly, rights are restricted, yet Trump (and others) firmly attach their lips to the assholes of the Saudi leaders.

    3. Truth – though its not just the data telling us Trump lied but the fact that them an changed and keeps changing the figures and stories he spouts here nigh on every damn time.

But, yeah, dean, you are spot on otherwise on all points there I think.

  4. Orange Cheato is not acting very brave about comediennes, rain drops, or soldiers. And a man with a gun seems to have thought he could lip off to a teenage girl and get away with it because he had a gun. Maybe he was trying to set up a Trayvon Martin situation.

Anyway, the Grand Order of the Patriarchy is looking more and more feeble and pathetic every day. Good.

  5. Dang. Double posted. Sorry about that. Anyway, regarding all Trump’s supporters in the military; I wonder if the Armed forces radio network still allows people like Rush Limabugh to barf on the air; that might explain some of it. Lies get a kind of fake legitimacy by getting broadcasted. Limbaugh was not always for Trump, but I’m pretty sure he is now. So our troops listening to stuff in their free time are liable to get bamboozled by loud mouthed right wing idiots, and they probably don’t have much in the way of legitimate countering from rational broadcasters.

  6. Interesting, amusing, spot-on comment by Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (who served in Iraq, so was part of the military Trump despises but wants to use as a political tool):

“Hey @realdonaldtrump: being Saudi Arabia’s bitch is not ‘America First,'”

    1. He (Khashoggi) was not a citizen (technically), but he was here on an “O” visa, giving resident status for a short time (3 years? 5 years?) I think some of his children are citizens, and read that he was in the process of applying for citizenship.
