  1. Dude get out of that car!

Get on the roof or something. Talk to emergency services first before you go on radio / TV. (I’d presume he already has but then they said they were talking to people for him so, dunno?)

    Scary footage.

  2. A West Virginia politician recently stated that coal mining could help pay for climate adaptation.

    An example:
CO2 helps grow the trees that people can climb when it floods.

  3. That’s so sweet of them to point that out.

He should have added that CO2 also help grow the trees that people can use for coffins to bury their children when the floods kill them, too.

Actually, the example – inspired by the video – was mine, not his. But together with yours it clearly shows how thankful we should be for rising CO2 levels. What would we do without them?

  5. Raise kids & grandkids who have nice futures?

Apparently some among us think that’s not worth giving up some of their ‘priv’ to achieve. There’s a word for people like that…

  6. Trees do remove carbon from the atmosphere. But, then, global warming comes along, makes forest fires more common and more severe, and the carbon goes right back into the atmosphere. If there are enough fires, trees can switch from a sink to a source.

  7. NB. Seems that flooded car youtube clip has now “been removed by the user.” Pity, twas one hell of a dramatic clip Not sure if there’d be a mirror of it somewhere?
