yes it would. The trauma from bubbles likely wouldn’t.
There was once the attempt at delivering O2 by injecting concentrated H2O2 into the blood. This was done in the aorta, the largest vessel, with the idea that the bubbles would dissolve before the blood got to small vessels.
It worked, the problem was that getting O2 wasn’t the difficulty, it was getting rid of the CO2.
