  1. Everyone here is really really glad that the weather changed. I saw the mountains on the other side of the valley for the first time in a week.

  2. Last year winter was a snap – very little snow (I think I had to shovel 3 times) this year it’s been quite heavy for Trail and shoveling has been a weekly, if not more frequent, offering to old man Winter. Lots of flights from Vancouver canceled . Diane and I were lucky our flight this past Saturday managed to find a hole in the clouds and land, the earlier morning flight had to turn back.
