GOP Talk of Racial Violence Ramping UP for 2012 Election

As expected, GOP leaders are staring to incite (mainly racial) violence in relation to President Obama’s re-election bid:

A monthly newsletter published by the Greene County Republican Committee in Virginia is raising eyebrows for including a column in its March edition that calls for an “armed revolution” if President Barack Obama is elected to a second term …

[Editor McPHee warns]… that the consequences of not defeating Obama, a so-called “ideologue unlike anything world history has ever witnessed or recognized,” would be dire.

“[W]e shall not have any coarse [sic] but armed revolution should we fail with the power of the vote in November,” McPhee writes. “This Republic cannot survive for 4 more years underneath this political socialist ideologue.”

  1. Uh, this story is nearly a month old, Mr. Laden (the postdate on your own link shows that). Way to be on top of things!

  2. Not that evidence matters, but Obama has not acted like a socialist while he’s been in office. Are they sure it’s politics and not race that’s got them wound up?

  3. The parts you quote from that newsletter do not support your statement that they are inciting racial violence. I would suggest additional quotes to make it clear that race is on their minds. For example:

We see government sanctioned illegal international gun running into Mexico resulting in the murder of a Border Agent; we see thugs wielding clubs outside voting precincts…

we see orders and directions to various Agencies and Departments which authorize amnesty to certain categories of illegal’s;…

    Political Action Against Islamic Infiltration

  4. Wow. I’m pretty sure that would be considered a breach of the Public Order Act, here in the UK. Specifically because it’s inciting violence, and likely to lead to racial abuse.

  5. Better late than Never !

    Better never Late !

Unfortunately, at least when people who aren’t brown, female, non-Christian, or left-leaning are concerned, the US has leaned so far in favor of the “allowing inciting violence” interpretation of “free speech” it’s basically a running joke.

Huh, no crayon. I wonder who transcribed it for them?
