  1. Of course, everything we eat is already recycled from shit; it’s just that it’s usually obscured by some additional steps:

    Humans -> shit -> fertilizer -> plants -> animals -> meat -> humans.

    Granted, human excrement is less used for fertilizer these days. So we add in a few more steps…

    This is why I laugh at people who are grossed out by hearing that, for example, astronauts on the ISS have to drink water reclaimed from urine. What do you think you’re drinking?
