A statement from the statesman:

“Last night was the climax of weeks and months of debate on a health care bill that my constituents fear and do not support. In the heat and emotion of the debate, I exclaimed the phrase ‘it’s a baby killer’ in reference to the agreement reached by the Democratic leadership. While I remain heartbroken over the passage of this bill and the tragic consequences it will have for the unborn, I deeply regret that my actions were mistakenly interpreted as a direct reference to Congressman Stupak himself.

“I have apologized to Mr. Stupak and also…

Oh shut up, asshole. The only honorable action you can take at this time is to resign. But you will not do that. You will not even learn to behave like a civilized human being. Your statement was forced on you by your party’s leadership. You should be ashamed of yourself.

Jeessh. Teabaggers.

  1. Called to what? some fictitious deity? Or Republican fascism?

Sorry that Sarah Palin’s IQ of 60 is the highlight of teabuggery – oops – teabaggery.

  2. Wow. If Jeremiah Wrong is an example of political discourse in the U.S., I feel just that much happier to live in socialist Canada. Now if we can just keep the conservatives from degrading political discourse here to that same level, we’ll be just fine.

  3. No doubt Birther Randy will now be invited on every talk show on Fox “News” and see a spike in his fund raising from this remark.

  4. itzac – yeah, this is what the crazy fundie theocratic 20% is really like. If you’d had the confederate states you’d have the same sort.

  5. Jeremiah, supposing you were right, and you’re NOT btw. You are saying that the unborn is MORE important than the poor suffering children and adults who are already born. That is a hoot since many of the insurance companies consider pregnancy (you know, women who WANT their babies) a pre-existing condition and will not pay for it to make sure the women have healthy babies. So start a family at your peril, the insurance agency may just be kicking your wife and child off their rolls.
