  1. If I am in the carnival, I promote the carnival. A good way to get me to promote a carnival is to put me in it.

    It is this kind of cross fertilization that gets discussion going. Which is why I’m always amazed when a carnival manager tells me that my post is “not appropriate” for some finely tuned political (or other) reason. (Other than I just didn’t get what exactly the carnival was and probably should have not submitted the post, which happened to me once.)
