  1. The Wall was released when I was but 14 years old, and it had a big influence on my musical tastes, and my “insubordinate” ways. I recall my civics teacher at the time (who also happened to be an old family friend) asking me if I really liked “that stuff” (I think he had only heard the songs that made the radio airplay lists). I told him that he really should listen to the entire album to get an idea of why I liked it. I don’t think he ever did though. That aside, he was a wonderful teacher, as were many others that taught me in public school.

  2. I saw Pink Floyd in 1973, at a concert in St. Louis, MO. At that time their light show wasn’t quite as elaborate as in this video!

    My favorite Pink Floyd album back then was Ummagumma.
