  1. “It is said that these girls could serve life in prison”Good. They deserve it. When they get out on parole in 50 years or whenever, then maybe they’ll act like decent people.”(The ‘are social networking sites evil’ poll is here.)”No. But some people on those sites are.

  2. The victim is at fault because she posted something mean about them online!? If my child did that I wouldn’t be saying a word to the press. It takes some nerve watch your kid kidnap and brutally attack someone and then blame the victim. It’s no wonder where these kids learned their social skills.

  3. Another grandstanding DA trying cases in the media and larding on the charges to get them to plead down to something lesser. Paging Mike Nifong…SOP for prosecutors in this country, it appears…unlikely that these minors are actually going to do multidecades in prison…but the fact that it is technically possible exposes the barbarity of the U.S. “Justice” system.

  4. The evil in the networking sites is the lust for fame at any cost. (Which is not a characteristic of the networking site, but of the user of it. Networking sites don’t kill people, guns kill people. Or something like that.)But it is true, you see all sorts of fight footage posted on video sites of all stripes. What will it take for our culture to stop glorifying the violent? Maybe the networking sites should host a section called “Too Stupid for Words” and publicize idiots like this. I hope Keith Olbermann chooses these cretins for “Worst Person In the Worrrrllllld…”

  5. andy,Do you deny that they lured the victim to their house, held her their against her will and brutally attacked her? Seriously, why are you attacking the DA?

  6. They beat the girl so they could post the video on YouTube and become famous. Mission accomplished! They might even get fictionalized on an episode of “Law & Order.”Too bad they didn’t think about the consequence of going to jail…

  7. Andy,It is about time someone stood up against this ignorant behavior and it would be fine by me if anyone who ever posted this kind of video on the Internet were prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.I don’t know what is wrong with people, but pranking has crossed a line that should never have been crossed.
