  1. The Bonobos are always amazing. I have to somewhat disagree with Dr. Savage-Rumbaugh’s conclusion that it’s “culture” and not “biology”. It’s much more likely that, just like with us, it’s a combination of the two. After all, they are not some distantly related species but our closest living relative. Therefore, we share a good deal of our biology with them as we know from DNA comparisons.That said, the analogy between where the Bonobo is at today and where our direct ancestors were at 2-3 million years ago is a very interesting one.
