Don’t forget to visit the PBS web site where they have all kinds of cool stuff for everybody, including and especially teachers. So, now the defense gets their shot….…The best response Christians can produce in response to new ideas … and by new here, I mean ideas that are less than about 5,000 years old … is violence. Oi. And God obviously got mad at School board member Buckingham.Atheists kind of take it the neck here . The phrase “atheist” is being used as an insult an no one is mentioning that this is obnoxious and wrong.Ha! The Discovery Institute set conditions that were inconsistent with normal jouranalistic practices. Ha!Ha! Behe refused multiple invitations to be interviewed for this special. What is he afraid of? Ha!Ooops, there goes the VHS player … must have been set for one hour. Well, the medium term plan is to purchase an actual copy anyway. No, Dr. Behe, the flagellum is not “actually an outboard motor” That’s stupid.David DeRosier gets his day in court. Here he is with a stash. This documentary has some very very nice graphics, especially of the flagellum story. Teachers, this is worth mining for use in class. Hey, what the heck, just show the whole video. To your students, and to your administrators. Why not.I love the piling up of the evidence part. That, sadly, was never caught on video in the original form.Did Behe really say, “Do you want your books back, they’re heavy…” Did he? Really?OK, here comes Ken Miller with the God shtick.I am always astounded, and I don’t know why I’m still astounded, at the way in which creationists can be so damn smarmy, and at the same time, are so bad at covering their tracks. I’m referring to the Panda’s Thumb bit.I want to give this a try.creationistscintelligent design proponentistsOh, nice product placement, there NCSE!!! Did you see the copy of Reports????Here’s the Wedge Document for you…Download fileOne question I’ve always had about this trial. Why were there no perjury charges brought against Buckingham and others who so blatantly lied on the stand? Everybody is so happy that the Republican Bush Appointed Judge did the right thing. But I’ve watched lots of trials … you know, on TV and stuff … and it is not uncommon for the judge to order the prosecutor to investigate and consider charges of perjury.Well, at least the judge did get really mad at him. These intelligent design people have no shame, no humility, and they’re not too smart. They remain convinced that they are, and always were right. They are evil, they are insidious, they are very annoying and they are everywhere. I want a tee shirt that says:STAND UP TO THE WEDGE!!!!Oh, Pat Robinson, kiss my ass.The end:ID is not scienceIt is unconstitutional to teach IDID makes a bedrock assumption that is utterly false.ID is merely a pretex to thrust … relgion … into the classroom. The citizens of Dover were poorly served by their schoolboard andthier breathtaking inananity. And, several members of this school boardlied. ID was simply their vehicle to push religioninto the classroom. It cost the school board one million bucks. Thank you Bill Buckingham, Richard Thompson, and the rest of you evil morons.I wonder if the judge is still receiving death threats?OK. Judgment Day was ok.
